Buying Manager (Lingerie)

At Luxe Talent, an International Consultancy specializing in Recruitment and Training for the Fashion, Luxury, Retail, and FMCG sectors, we are looking for a Buying Manager based in Dubai to join one of the leading retail companies in the Middle East.

In our recruitment and training consultancy we work with different firms in the Luxury, Premium and High Premium sectors around Europe and have offices in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, Milan and Munich and Amsterdam.

Main Responsabilities as a Buying Manager:

As a Buying Manager (Lingerie category) reporting to the Head of Buying Apparel, you will be responsible for defining the product strategy and buying plans to meet the department's sales and profit objectives, as well as managing buying operations and suppliers in accordance with contractual principles. You will also lead the team management to achieve strategic and financial goals. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Product Development: Designing and communicating the product strategy for each season and long-term, ensuring a balance between fashion trends and commercial adaptability for quick turnover.
• Budget and Planning: Establishing buying plans and budgets aligned with the overall department objectives and merchandise strategy, ensuring timely procurement and inventory control.
• Supplier Management: Creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing purchasing processes.
• Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conducting market and competitor studies, ensuring the product range aligns with customer trends and preferences.
• Team Leadership: Developing and retaining talent, promoting a high-performance team, and fostering skills development.

Requirements:

• Education in Fashion, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
• 15-20 years of experience in retail, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of fashion trends and retail analysis.
• Advanced skills in negotiation, supplier management, and multicultural leadership.
• Experience with lingerie products.
• Fluent in English, minimum C1 level.
